With a fine arts degree in painting, Katy Antill views textiles and their design of them as works of art. Katy believes all good design, like art, must be rooted in the heart and executed by hand. For almost three decades, she has been designing high-end area rugs and custom carpets for the leading luxury carpet and rug manufacturers in the world. All of her designs begin with pencil sketches and are always painted by hand. Katy specializes in complex, organic designs but loves to create contemporary, modern works for the bespoke textile manufacturers she works for. Katy has generously agreed to design a bespoke line of prints exclusively for our framed art collection. She is inspired by her travels, nature, city life, classic architecture, and of course, art history. After living in Austin and New York, Katy currently resides in Houston with her husband Kevin, son, George, and her two dogs, Libby and Scout.
